THE ROLE

The IT System Administrator (m/f/d) is a vital part of our technical team. You will oversee and manage internal and customer-facing systems and hardware, ensuring smooth system operation. Everything you do will be in line with the European IT strategy, in which you will also be involved. You will provide technical support to employees and assist team members. You will ensure that all IT-related tasks are completed correctly and on time, and help the IT Manager Europe resolve challenges.

ABOUT YOU

You have a genuine interest and passion for IT systems. You are well-organized and have a pragmatic approach with meticulous attention to detail. You enjoy working at a fast pace, are flexible, and relish interacting with internal and external stakeholders. You are an expert in our key systems and can identify problems, resolving them quickly, professionally, and with minimal impact on operations. Patience is a virtue you possess.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Become part of the European IT support team, working closely with colleagues in other EU markets and supporting them as needed.
  • As the technical point of contact for our Client Services team, you will assist with all inquiries regarding ticketing equipment at our venues.
  • You will manage our central device and MDM system, flexibly adapting device profiles.
  • You will maintain an overview of our hardware at all times and keep accurate asset lists.
  • You will ensure our IT systems comply with AXS security standards.
  • You will process service desk tickets from Germany – quickly, professionally, and solution-oriented.
  • You will install, maintain, and repair AXS equipment at various event locations in Germany.
  • You will work closely with the Senior IT Manager Europe and support your team with all IT challenges.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • You have experience in 2nd level support and are passionate about IT topics.
  • You have extensive knowledge of Windows clients and ideally some experience with macOS.
  • You possess knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policies, and virtualization (e.g., Hyper-V).
  • Network topics such as IPv4/IPv6, VLANs, and WLAN are familiar to you.
  • Experience with Mikrotik, Ubiquiti, or Cisco Meraki is a plus.
  • You can manage iOS and Android devices via MDM.
  • You work in a structured, solution-oriented manner and pay attention to details.
  • You communicate clearly and patiently, and can explain technical topics understandably to non-technical individuals.
  • You feel comfortable in a fast-paced environment, are flexible, and enjoy working with many different stakeholders.
  • You contribute your own ideas, think innovatively, and want to drive things forward.
  • Fluent language skills in German and English.
