IT System Administrator (m/f/d)

Our client is an established company with a lean IT structure and short decision-making paths. They are looking for an experienced individual who is familiar with Windows Servers, virtual machines, and network infrastructure, and who can take on responsibility without a long onboarding period.

Particularly exciting: The existing server landscape is currently being renewed. This offers the opportunity to be directly involved in setting up the new infrastructure and to shape IT for the long term.

Your Responsibilities

As an IT System Administrator, you will be responsible for the reliable operation and further development of the internal IT infrastructure.

• Servers & Virtualization: Support and administration of the Windows Server environment and the virtual machines used.

• Infrastructure: Support and further development of WLAN, firewall, and other central components of the IT infrastructure.

• User Management: Administration of users, groups, and permissions in Active Directory.

• Server Replacement: Participation in the planned replacement of the existing server landscape and active contribution to the new infrastructure.

• IT Security: Continuous review and improvement of technical security standards.

• Hardware & Licenses: Procurement, setup, and management of hardware, as well as support for license management.

• Support: Support for employees with technical questions and problems in their daily work.

Your Profile as an IT System Administrator

• Min. 5 years of practical experience in IT System Administration, ideally with independent support of IT environments.

• Very good knowledge in the administration of Windows Servers and virtual machines.

• Experience with Active Directory as well as the management of users, groups, and permissions.

• Practical experience in the administration of firewalls and basic network components.

• The ability to independently manage a small company IT and solve technical problems in a structured manner.

• Independent and responsible working style with the aim of recognizing and implementing issues autonomously.

• Ideally, a completed degree or comparable qualification in the IT field.

• Native-level German language skills and good English language skills.

• Nice to have

  • Experience with VPN solutions and their configuration and administration.

  • Knowledge in the Microsoft 365 Admin Center.

  • Additional know-how in the area of IT Security.
