IT System Engineer (m/w/d)

An international industrial company is seeking a motivated individual to strengthen its IT team in the field of IT Systems Engineering. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and developing modern infrastructure and server services in a global environment and actively contribute to the development of a future-oriented IT landscape.

Aufgaben

• Administration, operation, and development of Windows-server environments as well as support for Linux systems (Ubuntu/Red Hat)
• Taking over 2nd- and 3rd-level support tasks in the area of servers and infrastructure
• Caring for, optimizing, and developing backup and recovery solutions
• Administration and support of Microsoft SQL Server environments
• Collaboration on the development of central server management functions and infrastructure services
• Management and optimization of Microsoft Azure Services, Azure Arc, and hybrid cloud environments
• Automating administrative processes using PowerShell scripting
• Administration of Group Policies (GPOs) as well as Azure Policies
• Closely working with the IT Service Desk and international IT teams
• Collaboration on infrastructure projects and supporting the continuous improvement of IT processes and system landscapes

Qualifikation

• SUCCESSFUL completion of a degree in computer science or equivalent qualification
• Professional experience in administering complex server and infrastructure environments
• In-depth knowledge of backup and recovery technologies
• Experience with Microsoft Azure, ideally with Azure Arc, Storage Accounts, and hybrid infrastructures
• Good knowledge of PowerShell scripting and infrastructure automation
• Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, GPOs, and Azure Policies
• Knowledge of Linux environments, particularly Ubuntu and/or Red Hat
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server
• Knowledge of ITIL processes and Desired State Configuration (DSC) is advantageous
• MICROSOFT certifications such as AZ-800, AZ-801, or AZ-104 are desirable
• Self-motivated, structured, and solution-oriented working style
• Very good German and English skills in writing and speaking
