IT System Administrator Linux / Windows / AWS (m/f/d)

We are looking for an IT System Administrator to take care of our entire IT landscape and further develop our security standards from the Berlin office to the AWS cloud.

Aufgaben

As a central point of contact for our IT infrastructure, you will be responsible for tasks ranging from operational management to strategic security.

• Administration der Hybrid-Infrastruktur: You manage and optimize our server landscape, both in the data center (VMware, VM-Management) and in the cloud (AWS Infrastructure Management).
• Informationssicherheit (IT Security Coordinator): You are our internal point of contact and guardian for IT security, monitoring firewalls, managing SSL certificates, and ensuring compliance with our security guidelines.
• Mitarbeit bei ISO 27001: You help prepare audits and maintain documentation – prior knowledge is not required, we will train you.
• Netzwerk- & Domain-Management: You take care of network management, including routing, IP addresses, DNS, domains, and ensure a stable network connection.
• Office IT & Hardware Lifecycle: You manage our office in Berlin, including WLAN infrastructure, hardware procurement, software licensing, and on-site support for colleagues.
• Monitoring & Incident Management: You monitor system availability, respond to incidents, and perform error analysis to minimize downtime.
• Backup & Recovery: You ensure regular backups are performed and test our disaster recovery plans.
• User Management: You manage user accounts, access rights, and handle on-boarding and off-boarding of employees.
• Telekommunikation: You manage our existing Telco infrastructure, administer Asterisk servers, manage SIP trunks, and configure their integration with our infrastructure.

Qualifikation

We are looking for someone who brings not only technical expertise but also awareness of security and processes.

• Ausbildung & Erfahrung: You have either completed a training program as a system administrator, studied computer science or a comparable qualification, and have experience in system administration.
• Virtualisierung & Cloud: You have comprehensive knowledge of VMware (vSphere/ESXi) and practical experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS). Additionally, you should be familiar with Linux (e.g., Ubuntu/Debian) and Windows Server.
• Wünschenswert (kein Muss): Knowledge of the ISO 27001 standard is a plus point. If you don't have it yet, please show interest in getting involved in compliance topics.
• Netzwerk-Wissen: Familiarity with TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and routing is self-evident for you.
• Datenbanken und Analysen: Experience with scripting, log file analysis, and databases (Mysql, MS SQL Server) is advantageous.
• Hands-on Mentalität: You are not afraid to crawl under the desk in our Berlin office to connect hardware or help colleagues with direct IT issues.
• Strukturierte Arbeitsweise: You document your work neatly (important for ISO) and keep track of complex tasks.
• Sprachkenntnisse: You have fluent German language skills (C1/C2) and good English language skills.
