IT Support Engineer - Apple / macOS / IT-Infrastruktur (Frankfurt am Main)

You work well with Macs and modern business IT – and want to do more than just process tickets?

You'll support entire IT environments based on Apple, help companies and doctor's offices in their daily operations, and ensure that their infrastructure runs reliably – from the Mac workstation to networks to high-performance practice software with AI functions.

NÄGEL + KÖPFE is a specialized IT service provider from Frankfurt/M. with a focus on Apple-based business IT, supporting small and medium-sized enterprises in the Rhine-Main region – particularly doctor's offices, agencies, architecture firms, consulting firms, or educational institutions.

The main focus lies on integrating modern IT infrastructures based on Apple systems – combined with networks, storage & backup, firewall, VoIP telephony.

Typical technologies used by customers include:

• macOS, iOS, iPadOS clients
• Mobile Device Management (Mosyle)
• Networks with LANCOM
• Synology NAS and backup systems
• Voice over IP telephony with Starface
• Practice software tomedo for doctor's offices of various specialties

Tasks

Your Mission

You'll support customers in operating and developing their IT infrastructure – remotely via remote access or personally on-site.

You'll work both in help desk support and when setting up new systems & infrastructures.

Your typical tasks …

General IT support for customers

• Analyze and solve spontaneous hardware and software problems
• General first- and second-level support
• Ongoing maintenance of clients, infrastructures, and applications

Setting up and integrating IT systems

• Installation and configuration of macOS workstations, iPhones & iPads
• Setup of networks (LAN/WLAN), firewalls, and VPN
• Setup and integration of storage and backup systems
• Setup and integration of VoIP telephony and end devices

Special IT infrastructure for doctor's offices

• Setup and integration of practice software tomedo
• Integration of Apple devices and peripherals into practice workflows
• Planning and setting up complete IT environments for new practices, including migration from Windows infrastructures to the Apple world.

Managed Services

• Remote monitoring and updates
• Maintenance of (mobile) device management setups
• Documented and continuous improvement of IT structures

Qualification

Your ideal profile …

You're an IT support professional with experience, work well organized, and enjoy building complex IT systems systematically and structurally.

This is what you should (ideally) bring:

• At least 3 years of experience in IT support for companies
• Experience from an IT system house or an IT service provider is advantageous
• Good knowledge of macOS or generally the Apple ecosystem
• Experience with professional IT infrastructure (clients, networks, backup, VoIP etc.)
• A structured working style and discipline for good documentation
• Pleasure in direct customer contact

In addition, important:

• German language skills in writing and speaking, at least on a B2 level
• Driver's license class B (for on-site visits)
