The Federal Chancellery is seeking at the duty station Berlin for the department 132 "Information and Communication Technology" at the earliest possible time for an unlimited appointment IT Specialists / IT Specialist Women/Men (m/w/d) for Infrastructure and Backend Operation in the Field of Network Design, Security & SDN The Federal Chancellery supports the Federal Chancellor comprehensively in his tasks. It informs the Federal Chancellor about current political matters and the activity of the Federal Ministries. Furthermore, it provides the Federal Chancellor with information on the activities of other government agencies and international organizations. In addition to these tasks, the department is also responsible for the operation and maintenance of the IT infrastructure of the Federal Chancellery. This includes the administration of servers, networks, and databases, as well as the implementation of security measures to protect against unauthorized access or data breaches. The department also works closely with other departments within the Federal Chancellery to ensure the smooth functioning of the IT systems. The tasks include, but are not limited to: * Designing, implementing, and maintaining network infrastructures for the Federal Chancellery * Ensuring the security of the IT infrastructure through the implementation of security measures and monitoring of system logs * Providing technical support for the operation and maintenance of IT systems * Collaborating with other departments within the Federal Chancellery to ensure the smooth functioning of IT systems * Participating in the development and implementation of new technologies and solutions for the Federal Chancellery's IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate should have a degree in computer science or a related field, as well as several years of experience in the design, implementation, and maintenance of network infrastructures.
