IT Specialist (m/w/d) - VoIP and UC

As IT Specialist for Telecommunication Systems (m/w/d), you will be responsible for central IP-TK- and VoIP-systems, Session Border Controller, as well as Media Gateway Infrastructures in the municipal administration network. You will ensure the stable operation, availability, and communication and network security of the systems.

Aufgaben

• Administration, configuration, and operation of central IP-Telecommunication solutions, including Call-Control- and Media-Servers, Voicemail Systems, Enterprise Contact Center, Unified Communications Platforms, as well as Session Border Controllers in a multi-tenant environment
• Configuration, management, and updating of VoIP-end devices and Media Gateway Infrastructures in the network (central deployment)
• Planning, procurement, configuration, rollout, operation, monitoring, and continuous expansion of over 130 decentralized TK-systems including associated VoIP-networks (e.g. PoE-Switches) as well as end-devices (VoIP, UPn, POTS, ISDN, DECT)
• Commissioning, adaptation, and management of provider connections as well as configuration of DSL- and fiber-optic routers
• Maintenance and analysis of security-relevant events
• Self-contained execution of fault analyses and troubleshooting as well as escalation of complex cases to manufacturers and providers
• Monitoring of exchange and update cycles for hardware and software as well as the used licenses
• Conducting user training on device operation and client software
• Dokumentation and inventory management

Qualifikation

• SUCCESSFUL completion of training in the field of Telecommunications, IT or Electrical Engineering (e.g. Communication Electronics Engineer, IT System Electronics Engineer, Computer Scientist) or comparable qualification or relevant work experience in the mentioned task field
• Fundamental experience in the above-mentioned areas of Voice-over-IP and IP-TK-field, particularly in operation, configuration, and administration of IP-TK-systems, VoIP-end devices, and Media Gateway Infrastructures
• Experience in configuring Unify-TK-systems (formerly Siemens) is advantageous
• Knowledge in network planning and operation (Routing, Switching, VoIP-networks)
• Fundamental knowledge of classical TK-cabling
• Responsibility for handling IT security and data protection requirements
• Self-contained, structured, and responsible work style
• Outstanding ability to analyze and solve technical problems
• Communication skills as well as teamwork
• Customer- and service-oriented approach
• Interest in continuous professional development and getting familiar with new topics
• Driver's license of class B is advantageous
