IT Specialist

ELMA Electronic Romania is looking for an IT Specialist to join our team in Timișoara.

The IT Specialist will provide day-to-day IT support to local users and ensure the reliable operation of IT systems and services, while working closely with ELMA’s global IT organization.

• Provide 1st level IT support to employees and act as the main local contact for IT-related issues.
• Install, configure and maintain workstations, hardware, software and IT equipment.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, application, user access and connectivity issues.
• Support and maintain Windows environments and Windows Server-based applications.
• Manage and classify incidents and service requests through the IT Service Desk.
• Manage user access and support appropriate system permissions.
• Monitor IT systems and services to ensure availability and reliable operation.
• Diagnose technical issues, perform root cause analysis and implement appropriate solutions.
• Escalate complex incidents to the relevant global IT teams and follow them through to resolution.
• Support the implementation, configuration and testing of new applications and IT solutions.
• Participate in local and global IT projects and system rollouts.
• Maintain IT documentation, procedures, operating manuals and user guides.
• Support compliance with company requirements regarding IT security, data protection, auditing and privacy.
• Provide guidance and basic training to end users.
• Collaborate with colleagues and IT teams across ELMA locations.

• Technical education in IT, Computer Science, Systems Engineering or a related field.
• Previous experience in an IT Specialist, IT Support, System Support or similar role.
• Good knowledge of Windows operating systems and Windows Server environments.
• Experience with installation and configuration of hardware, software and enterprise applications.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good understanding of IT security and user access principles.
• Customer-focused and solution-oriented approach.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with international teams.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Availability for occasional travel and, when necessary, support outside standard working hours.

• English – good written and spoken communication skills
• German – an advantage
