IT Specialist Data Engineering & Migration (m/w/d)

We are looking for a skilled IT specialist for a well-established German company specializing in data and document migration as well as technical transformation projects. The client works with corporations, public institutions, and small and medium-sized enterprises and has been a reliable niche provider for over 25 years.

Tasks

• Adapting an internal software solution to customer-specific requirements
• Conducting IST analyses of existing system landscapes & interfaces
• Planning, implementation, testing, and handover of data and document migrations
• Analyzing large data sets for error recognition and process optimization
• Preliminary preparation & conduct of customer training sessions and technical workshops
• Documented quality assurance and second-level support
• Collaboration with project management and development in finding solutions

Qualification

Must-Haves

• Very good knowledge of Linux as well as shell-based working methods
• Experience with scripting languages (JavaScript, ShellScript)
• Safe handling of SQL and relational databases
• Experience with Git and version control tools
• German language skills at least C1 (including telephone customer communication)
• Analytical thinking, high precision, and solution-oriented working style
• Teamwork ability and joy in supporting others

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience in data-, document- or archive migration
• Knowledge about archive or DMS systems
• Further scripting or programming languages
