Who are you

You are an IT specialist with a strong operational foundation. You get energy from ensuring that business-critical applications and platform services function stably, securely, and predictably, and you also know what's happening in the market. You can easily switch between technology, operations, suppliers, and stakeholders. You know how to distinguish between main and secondary issues, maintain an overview in complex application chains, and take responsibility for the result.

Furthermore, you recognize yourself in the following:

• HBO (Higher Professional Education) work and thinking level, preferably in an IT direction.

• Experience as an IT Specialist, Application Engineer, Platform Engineer, or Application Administrator.

• Experience with the management of backend, core, or business-critical applications.

• You have an affinity for AI-supported tooling and see opportunities to use it responsibly for analysis, documentation, knowledge sharing, and process improvement.

• Working within ITIL processes.

In addition, you possess:

• Strong analytical skills and the ability to quickly grasp complex issues from an IT perspective.

• A curious and investigative attitude towards technological innovation and the use of AI.

• Flexibility to switch between management, projects, and improvement initiatives.

• A proactive attitude and the drive to continuously improve processes and services.

Good communication skills and a structured way of working.

What will you do

Within Backend Platform, we work on the management, continuity, and further development of the platform, which directly contributes to the reliability of Univé's services. The team focuses on, among other things:

• Management and continuity of backend applications - lifecycle management;

• Further development of the platform team;

• Monitoring and logging;

• Test automation, OTAP environments, releases, and controlled deployments;

• Compliance with policies, architecture, security requirements, and laws and regulations;

• Incident, problem, and change management.

Continuity and management

• Ensuring a stable, secure, available, and manageable Backend Platform.

• Monitoring availability, performance, capacity, security, and compliance.

• Identifying risks and bottlenecks within applications, platform services, and chains.

• Performing lifecycle management, upgrades, patches, configuration management, and preventive maintenance.

Applications, platform services, and chains

• Supporting integrations with other systems, data, and process chains.

• Supporting OTAP environments.

• Monitoring the connection between platform services, architectural frameworks, and operational needs.

Analysis and platform development

• Performing impact analyses on applications, integrations, and management processes.

• Advising on technical solution directions, manageability, continuity, and compliance.

• Identifying developments within the field and translating them into improvement initiatives for the platform.

Operations and governance

• Coordinating changes, releases, implementations, and production maintenance.

• Exercising governance towards suppliers and MSP parties.

• Aligning activities with DevOps teams, security, architecture, business stakeholders, and other platform teams.

• Monitoring follow-up on incidents, problems, audits, findings, and improvement measures.

• Supporting ITIL processes such as incident, problem, change, and release management.

Collaboration and improvement

• Contributing to the responsible use of AI and automation within daily management practice.

• Sharing knowledge, standards, documentation, and best practices.

• Identifying opportunities for improvement within processes, applications, and chains.

• Contributing to standardization, automation, and further professionalization of the platform.

Employment conditions

• Annual salary is a minimum of €57,487 and a maximum of €81,163 based on a 38-hour workweek (including holiday pay, a thirteenth month, and excluding variable remuneration); 

• 13th month and 8% holiday pay;

• Variable collective performance bonus of up to 9% of the annual salary;

• 26 vacation days for a 38-hour workweek;
