IT-Security Architect (m/w/d)

A current project at a European IT provider is one of the most significant security projects in Germany – a sovereign cloud infrastructure that is fully operated in Germany, designed for VS-near data. – The project makes a direct contribution to Germany's digital sovereignty.

In the role as IT-Security Architect (m/w/d), you will be part of this high-critical security project and work with experienced security experts – including SANS instructors. You will take on a technical architecture and advisory function, assess internal technologies, platforms, and services from a security perspective, establish Security-by-Design, and develop together with IT teams practical protection measures for complex internal environments.

Your tasks as IT-Security Architect (m/w/d):

• Evaluation of new technologies and architecture concepts from a security perspective, as well as development of robust protection measures
• Advisory services to infrastructure-, cloud- and service teams on the secure implementation of technical requirements and definition of Security-by-Design patterns
• Analysis of critical security data from vulnerability and attack surface management and derivation of strategic recommendations for the organization
• SUPPORT in investigating and resolving security gaps in complex infrastructures
• Co-shaping and further development of information security guidelines and central security procedures
• Planning and implementation of internal awareness measures, as well as development of training formats on security technologies and best practices

You bring:

• Completed studies or vocational training with corresponding professional experience
• Multiple years of professional experience in cloud infrastructures, preferably Azure, as well as hands-on competence in implementing security measures
• Fundamental experience in the field of network security, endpoint hardening, infrastructure, or vulnerability management
• Able to realistically assess complex IT and service processes and work at eye level with technical teams
• High prioritization skills and pragmatic working style – clear decisions without perfectionism
• Fluent German and English language skills
