IT Security Architect - FOD IBZ

Duration 01/11/2025 - 01/08/2026 9 months • Freelance - Fulltime The DG Innovation et Solutions digitales/Innovatie en Oplossingen (ISDIO) of the SPF Intérieur/FOD Binnenlandse Zaken wishes to recruit an IT Security Architect for its Cybersecurity department. The Cybersecurity department monitors the IT security of the SPF Intérieur/FOD Binnenlandse Zaken's data and systems and strives to stay one step ahead of cyber criminals. We proactively identify risks and aim to sound the alarm in time. You will be part of a team that is responsible for ensuring the confidentiality, integrity and availability of our data and systems. Your main tasks will be: • To design and implement a comprehensive IT security architecture that meets the SPF Intérieur/FOD Binnenlandse Zaken's needs and requirements; • To identify and mitigate potential risks and threats to the SPF Intérieur/FOD Binnenlandse Zaken's data and systems; • To develop and maintain a threat intelligence capability that enables us to stay ahead of cyber criminals; • To collaborate with other teams within the SPF Intérieur/FOD Binnenlandse Zaken to ensure that IT security is integrated into all aspects of our operations. The ideal candidate has: • A master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field; • At least 5 years of experience in IT security architecture and/or cybersecurity; • In-depth knowledge of IT security standards and best practices (e.g. NIST, ISO 27001); • Experience with IT security tools and technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, encryption, etc.; • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; • Excellent communication and collaboration skills; • Fluency in English is required.
