IT-Data Center Technician (m/w/d) sought in Berlin

We are looking for a data center technician on-site in Berlin.

Tasks

- Installation and removal of servers, storage, and network components in the data center

- Proper cabling of systems using copper and fiber optic cables according to data center standards

- Patching of network connections at patch fields, switch ports, and server connections

- Labeling, documentation, and maintenance of cabling and inventory data

- Support for upgrades, expansions, and migrations in the data center

- Accompanying, coordinating, and providing technical support to external service providers on-site

- Conducting visual inspections and simple function tests after installation

- Working according to defined operational, security, and documentation guidelines

Qualification

PRACTICAL EXPERIENCE in the data center environment or comparable IT infrastructure

FUNDAMENTAL NETWORK KNOWLEDGE on a physical level

VERY GOOD KNOWLEDGE of common cable types such as glass fiber single mode and multimode, as well as copper patch cables Cat 6 and Cat 6a

EXPERIENCE with patch fields and patch panels

EXPERIENCE with SFP, SFP+, QSFP modules including setting, replacing, and assigning

SAFE HANDLING OF TOOLS AND TYPICAL HARDWARE IN THE DATA CENTER

UNDERSTANDING OF STRUCTURED CABLEING AND CLEAN DOCUMENTATION

METHODICAL, STRUCTURED, AND RELIABLE WORKING STYLE

HIGH QUALITY AND RESPONSIBILITY AWARENESS

TEAMWORK SKILLS AND PROFESSIONAL APPEARANCE TOWARDS CUSTOMERS AND PARTNERS
