IT Product Owner (German-speaking)

Objective of the Position
The Product Owner E-Commerce/Shop Systems is responsible for the functional further development of our shop platforms. The goal is to provide stable, user-friendly, and economically successful shop systems that optimally support our digital sales and customer processes.
The role forms the central interface between business, IT, development teams, and external service providers.
Main Tasks

• Responsibility for the product vision, roadmap, and backlog of the shop systems
• Collection, evaluation, and prioritization of requirements from business departments
• Creation of epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria
• Coordination with sales, marketing, product management, and IT
• Functional support of sprints, releases, tests, and acceptances
• Management of external service providers and development partners
• Optimization of customer journey, usability, conversion, and performance
• Ensuring stable interfaces to ERP, PIM, CRM, Payment, and Analytics
• Transparent communication of priorities, progress, and risks

Requirements
Must-Have Requirements

• Several years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or Business Analyst in an E-Commerce environment
• Very good understanding of shop systems and digital sales processes
• Experience in agile requirements and backlog management
• Ability to translate functional requirements into actionable user stories
• Good technical understanding of interfaces and system landscapes
• Experience in collaboration with IT, business departments, and external partners
• Strong communication, prioritization, and structured working skills
• Engaged collaboration with UI/UX design, marketing, sales, IT architecture as well as external partners, including monitoring and analysis of relevant KPIs for evaluating features and releases, taking into account security, data protection, and performance specifications.

Desirable

• Experience in various shop systems and custom developments
• Knowledge in B2B and/or B2C commerce
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps
• Understanding of UX, web analytics, conversion optimization, and A/B testing
• Experience with ERP, PIM, CRM, or Payment integrations

Personal Profile

• At least 3 years of professional experience as a Product Owner or in a similar role in the E-Commerce environment and experience in the successful implementation of digital projects.
• A completed degree in Business Informatics, Business Administration, E-Commerce or a related field, underscoring your academic excellence
• Solid knowledge in one or more common standard shop systems ideally complemented by experience with the connection to SAP as an ERP system
• Proficient use of agile methods (Scrum, SAFe) and tools like Jira and Confluence.
• A good understanding of digital business models, high service orientation, and curiosity for new web technologies, as well as very good communication skills, strong stakeholder management
• Fluent German and English skills are a prerequisite.
