IT Operations Specialist / Application Support Engineer Location and work mode Warsaw, Łódź, or Gdańsk Hybrid work – 2-3 days a week from the office English – daily work in an international environment About the role We are looking for a person with experience in IT Operations / Application Support, who will join the team responsible for the stability and continuity of services and applications in Pre-Production and Production environments. The role focuses on application monitoring, incident analysis, production problem solving, performing deployments, and collaboration with development and platform teams. This is not a classic DevOps role – you will not be building infrastructure from scratch. The key is to ensure stable operation of existing services and to quickly diagnose and resolve problems. Scope of duties Monitoring the status of applications and services in production environments Analyzing alerts, logs, and system anomalies Handling incidents and conducting Root Cause Analysis (RCA) Identifying causes of recurring problems and implementing preventive actions Performing and supervising deployments through existing CI/CD pipelines Analyzing failed deployments and supporting retry and rollback processes Ensuring the stability of Pre-Production and Production environments Creating and updating runbooks and operational documentation Developing observability through dashboards, alerts, and log analysis Collaborating with development and platform teams to resolve problems Identifying opportunities for automation of repetitive operational tasks Supporting initiatives related to service continuity and Disaster Recovery Requirements Experience in IT Operations, Production Support, or Application Support Practical knowledge of Linux Experience with Kubernetes in terms of operational application support Experience with Jenkins and CI/CD pipelines Knowledge of Git Experience with monitoring and alerting tools, e.g., Grafana or Prometheus Experience with log analysis using tools such as Splunk, Apica, or Sysdig Knowledge of relational databases, especially Oracle or DB2 Knowledge of the ITIL framework Experience in diagnosing production problems and Incident & Problem Management Ability to collaborate with development and technical teams Knowledge of English enabling free work in an international environment Nice to have Helm Python Ansible IBM DataStage Development experience in Java Experience in automating operational tasks Knowledge of Agile / SAFe What we offer Work on systems with high stability and availability requirements Opportunity for development in the area of Application Operations and Production Support Work with modern monitoring, CI/CD tools and container environments Collaboration with international technical teams Hybrid work model
