// Technical responsibility in a growing GreenTech startup. ecosistant, a rising and sought-after startup in Berlin, will become the Go-To Point for online retailers around sustainability & recycling and lead the transformation to a fair and resource-saving e-commerce in the 21st century. Our mission is as a team to shape sustainable e-commerce and help break down trade barriers in international e-commerce. Currently, our Compliance Management Service allows online retailers to easily fulfill their statutory recycling obligations in 30 European countries. To successfully bring forward the challenges of our growth, we are looking for an experienced 'Technical Allrounder' with 2-5 years of professional experience, who is eager to work in a small agile team without senior expectations but with much freedom, co-creation and benefits. Your mission: Technical expertise meets strategic further development. You will take on a key role in our team and connect technical problem-solving with the further development of our digital infrastructure. You will work closely with the Service-, Sales- & Marketing Teams and your tasks are multifaceted - from operational IT management to co-creation and technical implementation of our tools:
- Technical support
- Second-Level-Support for internal teams and customer platforms: analysis of errors, cause research and solution implementation.
- Administration of our WordPress environment (plugins, updates, security) and internal tools (ERP, databases).
- Data management: corrections, evaluations and reporting (MySQL, data pipelines) as well as optimization of data flows.
- Infrastructure & automation
- Further development of our IT landscape: strategic goals in the areas of Security, Compliance and scalability to be implemented.
- Automating processes (e.g. with Make/N8n/Zapier) - especially in the area of EPR-Compliance (Extended Producer Responsibility).
- API integration & synchronization: connection of our tools with external systems (webhooks, pipelines).
- Software development & innovation
- Development of extensions (PHP/JavaScript) for WordPress, internal and external tools - from small plugins to complex features.
- Testing & quality assurance: unit-, integration- and system tests (manual/automated) as well as data injection tests.
- Conceptualization of new digital services: participation in the roadmap for our Compliance platforms and interfaces.
- IT operations & security
- Maintenance of live systems: updates, backups, monitoring and adherence to security guidelines, as well as ensuring data consistency.
- Dokumentation & knowledge transfer: creation of guides (e.g. in Notion) and possibly training the team.
- Technical know-how
- Solid knowledge in PHP, JavaScript, JSON and MySQL - ideally with experience in WordPress plugin development.
- Practical experiences with:
- Automating tools (Make/N8n/Zapier), API programming (REST/GraphQL) and AI.
- Databases, FTP, Git and ticket systems.
- Testing methods (unit-, integration tests) and logging (e.g. Graylog).
- Bonus: Linux/Docker, Bash scripts, Agile testing, GUI test frameworks or LLMs.
- Analytical skills & problem-solving competence
- You think proactively, recognize risks early and develop pragmatic solutions.
- High comprehension ability - you quickly understand complex relationships and can convey them in a comprehensible manner.
- Experience in live operation (maintenance, monitoring, staging environments).
