To strengthen our team in Gießen, we are looking for a

IT Network Architect/Network Administrator (m/w/d)

in full-time

Tasks

• Conceptualization, design, and further development of complex network architectures
• Planning and implementation of routing-, switching-, and security-infrastructure
• Architecture and operation of WLAN-, WAN-, and LAN-environments
• Analysis and optimization of existing network infrastructure (performance, scalability, security)
• Selection and evaluation of new network- and security-technologies
• Preparation of technical documentation, standards, and architecture guidelines
• Monitoring of the network infrastructure
• Closely working with system administration, IT-security, and external service providers
• Solving problems and disturbances in the operation of the network infrastructure
• Coordination of external service providers

Qualification

• A successful completion of a degree in computer science, business informatics, mathematics or similar – alternatively an equivalent completed training program
• Multiple years of professional experience (at least 5 years) in the field of corporate network infrastructure, preferably with Cisco products
• Ideal certifications or further education from Cisco (CCNP Enterprise desirable) or comparable qualifications
• Good knowledge of switching- and routing-protocols
• Knowledge in the area of firewall management, ideally with Check Point Maestro
• Analytical thinking, structured working style, and excellent documentation skills
• Very good German language skills, good English language skills
