IT Infrastructure Manager Benelux

The IT Infrastructure team is responsible for the full network management (WAN, LAN, SD-WAN, firewalls and wifi), as well as servers and storage in Belgium and the Netherlands. A large part of our infrastructure runs in the cloud (Azure), but there are also on-premise components.

This concerns a complex and diverse environment, spread over 130 locations and almost 5,000 end-users in the Benelux. Our business is very varied, which translates into different demands for IT infrastructure.

You will lead a team of eight experienced system engineers, each with their own specialization. Your role includes directing this team, setting priorities, and guiding projects. You will work closely together with the managers of our Servicedesk, Application Support, and Project Management teams. You report directly to the IT Manager Benelux.

We expect you to have broad technical knowledge of IT infrastructure. Our standards include Microsoft (Azure), Cisco, NetApp, VMware, SQL, Riverbed, and Palo Alto.

SGS is active in more than 150 countries worldwide. In terms of IT infrastructure, many processes are standardized and centrally managed. In your role, you are responsible for complying with this policy and working regularly with our (international) corporate IT teams.

Examples of local IT projects include the integration of acquired companies, relocating existing locations, and upgrading or replacing applications and/or hardware.

What will you do?

• Aansturen, coachen en ontwikkelen van een team van 8 system engineers in België en Nederland.
• Coördineren van lokale en corporate infrastructuur projecten.
• Opvolging van interne IT tickets
• Beheren van IT-resources en apparatuur.
• Beheren van de uitrol, monitoring en ondersteuning van IT-systemen (servers, netwerken, storage, back-ups).
• Onderhouden van relaties met interne stakeholders en klanten.
• Zorgen voor naleving van IT-beleid, vooral op vlak van security en netwerken.
• Beheren van contracten van externe partners.
