IT Infrastructure Engineer

We are a team responsible for infrastructure — on-prem environments and their stable maintenance and gradual modernization. We ensure that systems run reliably, backups are effective, and DR procedures are not only documented but also tested. We are working on reducing technical debt and building solid operational foundations. Role Description: * You maintain and develop virtualization environments based on VMware (vSphere, ESXi, vCenter). * You manage on-prem infrastructure: networks, storage, compute resources. * You administer and develop the backup environment based on Veeam Backup & Replication. * You design and test Disaster Recovery (DR) procedures and Business Continuity Plans (BCP). * You monitor environments and respond to incidents — you ensure service availability and stability. * You collaborate with other technical teams on infrastructure projects. * You document configurations, procedures, and DR plans. * You gradually automate repetitive operational tasks (scripts, schedules, alerting). Requirements: * You have 3–5 years of experience in on-prem infrastructure administration. * You have practical knowledge of VMware vSphere (vSAN or NSX is a plus). * You have production experience with Veeam Backup & Replication. * You understand backup concepts: retention policies, RPO/RTO, replication, media management. * You have had real involvement in designing or testing DR procedures. * You can diagnose infrastructure problems and act under time pressure. * You communicate effectively in Polish and English (technical documentation). Nice to have: * Knowledge of automation: PowerShell / PowerCLI, Bash, or Ansible. * Experience with storage solutions (NetApp, Pure Storage, Dell EMC, or similar). * Knowledge of networking concepts (VLAN, routing, firewall) in the context of virtual environments. * VMware (VCP) or Veeam (VMCE) certifications. * Experience in regulated environments (e.g., audit requirements, data retention). * Basic knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) — in the context of hybrid environments or migrating workloads from on-prem to the cloud.
