IT Infrastructure Engineer (m/f/d)

For a company in the service sector in the North Germany region, we are looking for an IT Infrastructure Engineer (m/f/d) for permanent employment.

In this role, you will be responsible for the operation, optimization, and further development of the IT infrastructure with a focus on network, cloud, and virtualization.

• Support and optimization of the server and client landscape as well as the virtualization environment (e.g., VMware or Hyper-V)
• 2nd and 3rd level support for complex infrastructure requests and technical point of contact for incidents
• Management and further development of the Windows domain including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and File Services
• Operation and further development of the Microsoft 365 environment (Entra ID, Exchange, Teams) and cloud resources in Azure
• Ensuring the operation of central network components such as firewall, VPN, switching, routing, and VLAN
• Automation of administrative processes (e.g., with PowerShell) to increase efficiency
• Planning and implementation of infrastructure projects such as migrations, rollouts, and system introductions
• Coordination of external service providers and ensuring compliance with SLAs

• Several years of professional experience (5+ years) in system administration with a focus on Windows Server, Active Directory, and central network services (DNS, DHCP)
• Proficient in Microsoft 365 services (Exchange, Teams including telephony, OneDrive, SharePoint) as well as Entra ID
• Sound knowledge of TCP/IP, switching, VLAN, routing, VPN, and firewall
• Demonstrable experience in implementing infrastructure projects (migrations, rollouts, system introductions)
• Very good German and English language skills for communication with international teams and external partners
• High level of initiative, proactivity, and responsibility as well as a strong hands-on mentality
