Job description

We are looking for a proactive and service-oriented IT Helpdesk Technician, who takes over the first-level support for internal users. In this role, you ensure the smooth operation of IT systems and provide timely solutions to technical problems. You work closely with the IT team and departments to ensure a high level of service.

Tasks

  • Prioritization and processing of support requests via telephone, email or ticket system
  • Analysis and resolution of hardware-, software- and network-related problems
  • Installation, configuration and maintenance of IT end devices (PCs, laptops, printers, mobile devices)
  • Support for the use of company software and collaboration tools (e.g. Microsoft 365 / Office 365)
  • Escalation of complex or unresolved issues to responsible IT teams or external service providers
  • Documented documentation of disturbances, solutions and IT processes
  • Support during onboarding of new employees (IT setup, system access, authorizations)
  • Remote support for the Eichenzell location as well as on-site visits in a two-week rhythm

Qualification

  • A completed degree or training in the field of computer science, information technology or a comparable qualification
  • 1-3 years of professional experience in IT support or helpdesk
  • Good technical English skills
  • Good knowledge of Windows operating systems
  • Basic knowledge of network technology, VPN and cloud services
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 / Office 365, Active Directory and common business applications
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Able to efficiently prioritize and process multiple support requests
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Patient and high level of service orientation
  • Self-motivated and structured work style
