The energy industry is experiencing its greatest upheaval in history. The world of central power plants and passive distribution networks is being replaced by a decentralized, high-dynamic system consisting of wind, photovoltaics, battery storage, and hybrid systems – orchestrated through digital measurement and control infrastructure.

In the midst of this paradigm shift stands acteno energy GmbH. As a metering point operator (wMSB), we are building the digital infrastructure for the energy transition.

We develop measurement concepts, smart meter integrations, and energy data management platforms for large wind, PV, hybrid, and BESS projects.

Tasks

Energiesystems think holistically: You will contribute to the expansion of our infrastructure for the measurement sector and the holistic optimization of energy systems – from generation to storage to balancing settlement.

Architecture & Codebase: You will coordinate and expand our existing architecture and codebase – with the aim of scalability, maintainability, and regulatory compliance in harmony.

Market Communication: You will maintain and expand our market communication according to EDIFACT/AS4

Hybrid Networks: You will develop software for hybrid networks – that is, for the intelligent interconnection of wind, PV, storage, and consumers behind a common network connection point.

Time Series Technologies: You will work closely with high-resolution load data and time series databases – performance, data integrity, and evaluability are your playground.

Qualification

Multiple years of experience in software development with our stack:

JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, and Go

Familiarity with GitHub and modern CI/CD workflows

Understanding of distributed systems, APIs, and data integrationIdeally

Experience in the energy industry – or the willingness to delve deep into MsbG, EnWG, and EDIFACT

Eigenverantwortliche, strukturierte Arbeitsweise und Lust, in einem schlanken, kompetenten Team echten Impact zu haben

Very good German language skills (B2+), English language skills an advantage
