IT Director (Corporate Banking/ Regulatory Reporting)

Job description

Brief Summary:

This position involves collaborating with stakeholders to align technology solutions with business strategies while managing regulatory compliance and ensuring system reliability.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their priorities and align technology solutions accordingly.
  • Engage with department heads in technology for enterprise architecture, AI & Data, Information Security, and infrastructure to ensure alignment with corporate function strategies.
  • Work closely with vendors and regulatory counterparts to adapt regional solutions in line with changing APAC regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate with the enterprise architecture and data teams to enhance and consolidate existing solutions into a unified data model for regulatory reporting.
  • Facilitate the implementation of compliant solutions by liaising with technology teams across regions.
  • Manage technology risks and vulnerabilities within the solution portfolio.
  • Lead incident response efforts to ensure service restoration and remediation activities meet SLA requirements.
  • Coordinate with various technology teams to ensure seamless functioning of internal and external system interfaces.
  • Build and manage a regional team across multiple locations to support application functionalities in line with business needs.

Requirements:

  • Degree's holder in Computer Science or related field.
  • Minimum 18 years of experience in corporate banking technology within the applications domain, focusing on regulatory reporting solutions in APAC.
  • Proven ability to analyze data elements for regulatory reporting and structure a consolidated regional database.
  • Experience collaborating with business stakeholders and solution providers to develop solutions that address regional requirements while minimizing customization.
  • Demonstrated capability in program managing a diverse application portfolio across corporate banking functions.
  • Experience in leading onsite and offshore teams to enhance domain and technical expertise.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail for issue resolution.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with adept negotiation capabilities.
  • Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Familiarity with budgeting and managing investment and expenses for application portfolios.
  • Experience with the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and exposure to Agile methodologies.
