IT Deployment & Automation Engineer (m/f/d) – Refurbishment / Windows / Drivers

We are looking for a technically adept employee (m/f/d) to join our team in Berlin as soon as possible, for a full-time position.

At Hanitel, you will work with used and new IT hardware, ensuring that computers, notebooks, and other IT devices are professionally refurbished, set up, and prepared for further use. Your primary focus will be on installing and configuring Windows, setting up appropriate drivers, and technically testing various devices.

Furthermore, you will support us in simplifying and automating recurring workflows to make the refurbishment of larger quantities of devices more efficient. If you are passionate about hardware, operating systems, and technical problem-solving, we look forward to receiving your application.

Responsibilities

• Technical refurbishment and testing of used IT devices, especially PCs, notebooks, and docking stations

• Installation and configuration of Windows operating systems

• Setup and updating of drivers, firmware, and system components

• Creation and use of Windows images for efficient device installation

• Performing functional tests and technical quality controls

• Analysis and resolution of hardware and software problems

• Testing of connections, interfaces, and basic device functions

• Setup of standardized software and system configurations

• Support in automating recurring installation and testing processes

• Creation and maintenance of technical documentation and work instructions

• Documentation of device information, test results, and errors

• Support in optimizing internal IT refurbishment processes

Qualifications

• Technical understanding and interest in IT hardware and operating systems

• Good knowledge of Windows installation, configuration, and troubleshooting

• Experience with drivers, firmware, and various hardware components

• Basic knowledge in diagnosing hardware and software problems

• Ideally, experience with Windows imaging, deployment, or automated installation procedures

• Basic knowledge of PowerShell or comparable scripting programming is an advantage

• Experience with refurbishing used IT devices is desirable

• Structured, careful, and solution-oriented way of working

• Reliability and sense of responsibility

• Independent work as well as teamwork ability

• Good German language skills, both spoken and written
