IT-Consultant (m/w/d) Firewall

As IT-Consultant (m/w/d) in the area of firewall, you will review applications along existing security guidelines, manage service providers, and accompany applicants through the process. You will support the revalidation of existing configurations, ensure quality and compliance, and ensure that critical systems remain permanently protected.

Tasks

• As IT-Consultant (m/w/d) Firewall, you will review incoming firewall applications and evaluate them in terms of zone concepts and existing security guidelines.
• You will conduct regular controlling of service provider applications with a focus on firewalls and ensure quality and compliance.
• You will support the evaluation and reporting of the status of firewall applications, assisting application managers, projects, and management.
• You will advise object managers competently on questions regarding in-house application submission and accompany them through the process.
• In your role as IT-Consultant (m/w/d) Firewall, you will actively participate in the revalidation of firewall configurations, including testing, reviewing, and optimizing for security and compliance.
• You will contribute to ensuring that security guidelines are consistently implemented and critical systems remain reliably protected.

Qualification

• Completed studies or training with an IT focus.
• Practical experience in network communication and network zoning.
• Good knowledge of common network technologies, protocols (e.g. TCP/IP, HTTP), network connections (WLAN, WAN, LAN) as well as firewalls.
• Very good Excel skills, particularly in analyzing and using pivot tables.
• Team-oriented working style and excellent communication skills.
• Minimum conversational German language skills in writing and speaking.
