We are a specialized boutique consulting firm that helps industrial companies make their process, system, and data landscapes strategically future-proof — with clear focus on KI-readiness, continuous data structures, and modern system architectures. Our customers come from the machine building, plant construction, energy, and defense industries.

Our mandates are long-term, our teams small, our topics challenging. We are now looking for reinforcement — someone with technical depth in Enterprise Architecture and industrial systems who knows KI not only but actively uses it, and who can work independently both internally and in customer projects.

Tasks

• Analyse and evaluation of process, data, and system landscapes at industrial customers — with focus on PLM, SAP, ALM, CCMS, and related systems.
• Development of target architectures and system landscapes that are strategically aligned to the KI era — from conception to implementation guidance.
• Independent leadership of workshops with departmental teams, IT, and management — from preparation to result documentation.
• Preparation of decision-making documents, business cases, and tender documents for complex system transformations.
• Accompaniment of data migration and cleansing projects as well as the modernization of tool chains in the industrial field.
• Building and further development of knowledge management structures — internally at Impecto and in customer projects.
• Conducting KI assessments to evaluate technical and business feasibility for the customer.
• Active use of KI tools in own project work and advising customers on the use of LLMs, Agentic AI, and other models.

Qualification

• Degree in Business Informatics, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.
• 3-5 years of experience in IT or consulting, ideally with reference to industry, machine building, or defense.
• Fundamental understanding of Enterprise Architecture — you know frameworks, think system-wide, and know how architectural decisions have strategic impact.
• Knowledge of industrial IT systems: PLM (e.g. Teamcenter, Windchill), SAP, ALM or technical documentation (CCMS, DITA) — depth in at least one area is expected.
• Experience in knowledge management or industrial knowledge management is a clear plus.
• KI tools you use actively in your work and can estimate where LLMs, Agentic AI, or automation bring real added value — and where not.
• Structured, independent working style — you can lead a workshop, write a result document, and present both to the customer in a convincing manner.
• German on a native level, solid English. Travel readiness for customer projects primarily in NRW and nationwide.
