Job description

  • Successfully completed studies in Computer Science (Business Informatics), Business Administration, or a comparable qualification, as well as extensive project experience in card-based payment transactions (ideally in a dynamic retail or financial environment)
  • Very good knowledge of current payment methods (Debit/Credit, APM, Protocols/Interfaces), combined with a strong interest in instant payment infrastructures and tokenization
  • Strong analytical skills to understand complex issues, great enthusiasm for innovative IT topics in the payment environment, and the motivation to take responsibility and drive standardization
  • Confident demeanor, reliability, strong team spirit, excellent communication skills in an international environment, as well as fluent German and good English skills

Tasks

Schwarz Digits creates the technological foundation for digital freedom of choice in Europe. As the IT and Digital division of the Schwarz Group, we develop and manage the IT infrastructures for the retail divisions Lidl and Kaufland, as well as Schwarz Produktion and PreZero. At the same time, we act as an independent provider on the external market to support companies across Europe in their digital transformation. We bundle our core services in the areas of Cloud, Cyber Security, Data & AI, Communication, and Workspace. Contribute your part to digital freedom of choice in Europe.

With us, you work at the interface between agility and security: you benefit from fast decision-making processes, enjoy genuine scope for design in your projects, and build upon the stable foundation of the Schwarz Group.

Profile
  • Consulting and supporting the divisions (including Lidl & Kaufland) in the further development of innovative checkout solutions – from optimizing card payment transactions and integrating international wallets to integrating alternative payment methods (APMs)
  • Defining the roadmap, piloting, and integrating future European payment solutions as well as alternative payment systems, including wallet-based ones
  • Independent operation and further development of existing systems, as well as planning and organization of the international introduction of new applications, taking into account specific hardware, software, and market requirements
  • Ensuring compliance with international payment standards (including PCI DSS) and continuous process optimization, combined with active market observation to derive recommendations for action for the long-term competitiveness of our payment platforms
  • Managing cross-departmental projects, coordinating external partners, and collaborating in a global expert team with international stakeholders

We Offer
  • You take on responsible tasks, actively drive projects with added value, and contribute to identifying and minimizing risks early on.
  • You share your passion for IT and digitalization with over 4,000 colleagues. Together, we can learn from each other and inspire each other.
  • With diverse training opportunities, we support you individually in your continuous professional and personal development.
  • Our employees are very important to us. You will become part of an appreciative and open corporate culture with flat hierarchies and a "du" (informal) culture.
  • You will participate in international projects and actively drive our unique Cloud Native solutions forward.
  • You shape your working hours flexibly and can adapt them to your tasks in agreement with your supervisor. This way, you determine your healthy work-life balance yourself.
