IT–Cloud Engineer (m/w/d) – AWS / SPS / IoT

Your tasks:

• Further development and operation of our AWS-based customer platforms – from developing new functions to implementing, testing, and quality assurance.
• High level of autonomy and scope for design in your projects – you work independently, bring in your own ideas, and drive technical improvements and the further development of our platforms actively forward.
• Development, integration, and maintenance of interfaces between SPS control systems and AWS cloud – including integrating new devices and systems into our existing infrastructure.
• Ensuring stable, secure, and high-performance data communication – for measurement data, status, and alarm messages between the customer network, control system, and cloud.
• Analyzing and resolving errors in the interaction of cloud, network, and control system – as 2nd-level support for internal teams and our customers.
• IT and networking technical support for our customers – remotely or on-site, e.g., during commissioning, error analysis, or network adjustments.
• Shaping and strengthening our IT infrastructure and IT security – particularly in the context of our cloud and IoT solutions (interfaces, authorizations, monitoring).
• Planning and developing network concepts for our systems – e.g., IP address concepts, segmentation, VPN connections, and basic firewall configurations.
• Closely collaborating with development, service, and sales – to translate customer requirements into technical solutions and continuously develop our portals and products.

Your qualifications:

• Degree or study in a technical field – e.g., computer science, electrical engineering, automation technology, mechatronics, or a comparable qualification, preferably with relevant practical experience.
• Solid knowledge of software development – ideally with a language like C#, Python, Java, JavaScript, or a comparable programming language.
• Basic understanding of modern web and cloud applications – ideally with first-hand experience with AWS or another cloud platform.
• Good knowledge in the field of networks – e.g., TCP/IP, IP addressing, routers/switches, VPNs, and basic firewall concepts.
• High IT affinity and willingness to further develop – particularly in the areas of AWS, IoT, and industrial IT.
• Ideal experience with SPS or control technology – or a clear motivation to gradually get involved in this area.
• Analytical and structured working style – with pleasure in understanding complex technical relationships and finding practical solutions.
• Outstanding service and customer orientation – including willingness for occasional on-site assignments at the customer's location.
• Very good German language skills and basic English language skills – for documentation, communication, and working with technical tools.
• Driver's license class B.
