At EVEREST, you work at the interface of entrepreneurship, AI, and digital products. Together, we develop platforms and tools for founders and small business owners – from the initial idea to the running product.

This includes, among other things, the nationwide, free Gründerplattform (Founder Platform) as well as the digital consulting program InStart for sole proprietors and small businesses in crisis in Hamburg.

Our goal: To give people access to economic know-how, capital, networks, and resources – and to develop digital solutions that support them in successfully implementing their entrepreneurial ideas and projects.

We are a small team of approx. 35-40 people with diverse tasks and a common mission: to make entrepreneurship easier and more accessible.

As an IT & Automation Specialist, you will support our Microsoft 365 and Apple environment together with our internal IT manager. You will be the point of contact for technical questions, take on your own IT topics, and ensure that our colleagues can work well and securely.

We want to handle as much as possible ourselves. Therefore, you will have the freedom to implement technical solutions independently, improve existing processes, and explore new possibilities through automation and AI. For more complex issues, an external IT service provider is available to assist us.

What awaits you

You ensure a smooth IT everyday life:

• Administer Microsoft 365: You manage and optimize our Microsoft 365 environment with Entra ID, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and Intune – from user and rights management and licenses to security configurations.

• IT Support with a real service mindset: You are the first point of contact for our colleagues with technical questions and problems. In 1st and 2nd level support, you find pragmatic solutions, explain them clearly, and ensure a work day that is as uncomplicated as possible.

• Accompany Onboarding & Offboarding: You set up workstations, user accounts, and access, and ensure that everything technical is in place from the first to the last working day.

• Manage our Apple environment: We are increasingly transitioning to MacBooks. You will accompany this process and take care of the setup, management, and security of our devices via Apple Business Manager and Microsoft Intune.

And you will help shape our digital future:

• Make processes smarter: You talk to our teams, analyze their workflows, and identify where tasks can be simplified or automated. You will independently implement suitable solutions using Power Automate, Make, or comparable tools.

• Use new technologies meaningfully: Whether it's AI-powered workflows, intelligent assistants, or new interfaces – you are eager to try out possibilities and implement them where they offer real added value.

What you bring

You are technically proficient, enjoy working independently, and have a real knack for how good IT can make everyday work easier.

• You have sound practical experience in IT administration and are particularly familiar with Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Exchange Online, and Intune.

• You are proficient in using macOS and ideally have experience in the central management of Apple devices.

• You have experience in 1st and 2nd level IT support and approach technical challenges in a structured, pragmatic, and solution-oriented manner.

• You have a high service standard, enjoy communicating with people, and can explain complex technical topics in an understandable way.

• You are interested in automation, AI, and digital processes and enjoy questioning and further developing existing workflows.

• You work independently, meticulously, and responsibly, and have a good understanding of IT security and data protection.

• You have very good German language skills.

We would be particularly pleased if you also bring the following:

• Experience with Apple Business Manager in conjunction with Microsoft Intune

• Practical knowledge of Power Automate, Make, or comparable automation tools

• Knowledge of PowerShell, APIs, or connecting different systems

• Experience with AI agents, AI-powered workflows, or MCP servers (Model Context Protocol)

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Defender and IT security concepts
