About the project

We are looking for an experienced IT Business Analyst to join a large-scale transformation programme within an international banking environment.

The project focuses on harmonising equity trading processes, covering the full trading lifecycle – from order placement and trade execution to settlement and safekeeping.

The role involves analysing existing processes and systems, identifying differences between country-specific solutions and the target operating model, and translating findings into clear business and IT requirements.

Your responsibilities

• Analyse current business processes, workflows, business rules and operating models across Nordic countries,
• Map AS-IS processes, applications, integrations and data flows,
• Perform gap analysis between existing solutions and the Nordic target architecture,
• Identify country-specific differences and document required changes,
• Gather and document business and functional requirements, user stories and solution recommendations,
• Facilitate workshops with business stakeholders, operations teams and IT teams,
• Support the definition of TO-BE processes and target operating models,
• Collaborate with Solution Architects and development teams to validate proposed solutions,
• Support impact assessments across Order Management, Trade Processing, Settlement and Safekeeping,
• Document dependencies, assumptions, risks and architectural decisions,
• Prepare documentation and presentations for architecture reviews and programme stakeholders.

Our requirements

• Strong experience in Business Analysis / IT Analysis within banking or financial services,
• Solid understanding of the equity trading lifecycle – from order placement and execution to post-trade processing,
• Practical experience in business process analysis, process mapping and AS-IS / TO-BE analysis,
• Experience conducting gap analysis and impact assessments,
• Strong skills in gathering and documenting business and functional requirements,
• Experience facilitating workshops with multiple stakeholder groups,
• Ability to analyse complex business workflows, applications, integrations and data flows,
• Understanding of APIs, system interfaces and system interactions,
• Experience collaborating with Solution Architects and technical teams,
• Ability to translate business needs into structured requirements and IT solutions,
• Very good command of English.

Optional

• In-depth knowledge of Settlement and Safekeeping processes,
• Experience with post-trade operations and securities account structures,
• Experience in regulatory reporting and compliance,
• Participation in regulatory or market-driven transformation initiatives,
• Experience in international banking transformation programmes.

Recruitment stages
