IT Department Head Enterprise Architecture (m/w/d)

We are currently looking for an IT Department Head (m/w/d) to steer the enterprise architecture with topics such as capital market, overall bank control, customer business, etc.

Our client is a renowned financial institution in Karlsruhe that is on its way to new paths within the financial sector to provide customers with more digital access and offer new products and services that meet the expectations of a bank as a technology company.

A modern tech stack, along with an agile mindset and the corresponding methodologies, help our client drive innovation and shape the transformation into a technology company.

In the context of our IT strategy, architecture management is gaining more importance to steer the bank towards the future.
The IT landscape with over 600 applications is divided into different domains.

As department head, you will lead the newly established department with various architectural roles and shape the future of the domains within the company.

In close cooperation with the departments and specialized architects, you will set the course for a cost-effective and adaptable enterprise architecture.

To this end, you will identify and evaluate technical debts, develop a target architecture, and create a strategy roadmap.

Tasks

Activities:

• Disciplinary management of 3 teams, approximately 25 employees.
• Steering, further development, and shaping the system landscape of the bank.
• Shaping innovative and future-oriented platform architecture aligned with the IT strategy of the bank.
• Steering technical requirements into sustainable and scalable solutions.
• Counseling the C-level on technical and architectural questions.

You bring extensive experience in the context of larger bank architectures, as well as leadership experience?
