Salary: AUD $60,000 – $80,000 per year + Superannuation

AAA Farmland Pty Ltd is an upcoming vegetable farming business based in the Laidley region of Queensland. We specialise in producing organic vegetables in modern greenhouse facilities, ensuring year-round production regardless of weather conditions. Our commitment to sustainable and organic farming practices enables us to deliver high-quality, natural produce to Australian consumers.

Due to ongoing business growth, we are seeking a reliable and motivated Irrigation Assistant to support our farm operations.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

(Aligned to Irrigation Assistant / Farm Irrigation Worker duties)

The successful applicant will:

• Assist in installing, operating and maintaining farm irrigation systems
• Monitor irrigation schedules and ensure adequate water supply to crops
• Inspect irrigation equipment including pumps, valves, filters and pipelines
• Assist in troubleshooting irrigation system faults and repairs
• Monitor soil moisture levels and greenhouse environmental conditions
• Support fertiliser and nutrient delivery through irrigation systems (fertigation)
• Maintain irrigation records and report issues to management
• Assist with general farm duties including planting, harvesting and crop maintenance
• Ensure compliance with workplace health & safety and biosecurity procedures

Minimum Requirements

• Certificate II/III in Agriculture, Irrigation or related field OR at least 1–2 years relevant farm experience
• Basic knowledge of irrigation systems and farm equipment
• Ability to work outdoors and in greenhouse environments
• Strong work ethic and ability to work as part of a team

Preferred Skills

• Experience with drip irrigation and greenhouse irrigation systems
• Experience with pumps, filters and fertigation systems
• Basic mechanical skills for equipment maintenance
• Previous experience in vegetable farming
