IoT Quality Manager (m/w/d)
Job description
We are looking for an innovative, international company in the field of Consumer Electronics and IoT that is currently seeking a IoT Quality Manager (m/w/d).
In this role, you will be responsible for the product quality throughout its entire lifecycle – from development to industrialization and series production to analyzing field data. You will work closely with development, product management, manufacturing partners, and external testing laboratories to ensure that connected products are reliable, safe, and compliant with regulations.
The position combines technical understanding of embedded and IoT systems with strategic quality responsibility.
Aufgaben
- Total responsibility for the quality strategy of connected consumer products (Hardware, Firmware, App, System)
- Definition, implementation, and further development of quality processes along the entire product lifecycle
- Steering and evaluation of internal and external (HW, FW, System, Integration)
- Interface to external testing laboratories, certification bodies, and authorities
- Surety of regulatory compliance (e.g. CE, RED, EMC, product safety – depending on the product)
- Analysis of field data, complaints, and feedback for continuous quality improvement
- Conducting root cause analyses (RCA) and deriving and tracking corrective actions (CAPA)
- Support to development and product teams in risk-based decision-making
- Participation in Supplier Quality Management and support for quality-related audits
Qualifikation
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, Mechatronics, Computer Science or equivalent
- Multiple years of professional experience in quality management, QA, verification, or validation of embedded or IoT products
- Good technical understanding of: Embedded Hardware & Firmware, System and Integration Tests, Connected Products (Device – App – Backend)
- Experience with Consumer Electronics or high-volume products is advantageous
- Knowledge of standards, guidelines, and certifications for electronic products
- Structured, pragmatic, and solution-oriented working style
- Excellent communication skills and experience in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams
- Very good English language skills, German is advantageous
