Electronics Engineer (m/f)

Your responsibilities

• design and development of electronics for ARGO-HYTOS products, including schematics and PCBs:
• selection and verification of electronic components,
• design and development of measurement systems and communication interfaces,
• design of power supply, filtering, and protection circuits,
• Commissioning and implementation of designed circuits:
• building, commissioning, diagnosing, and testing prototypes,
• participation in functional, environmental, and EMC tests and analysis of results,
• support for production implementation and troubleshooting of technical problems,
• cooperation with mechanical designers, production, suppliers, and customers,
• preparation of design and production documentation, including BOM,
• co-creation of test stands and tools supporting development and production,
• development and modification of embedded software in C.

Our requirements

• technical higher education in electronics, electrical engineering, automation, or related fields (or final year of studies),
• 2 years of experience in a similar position,
• practical experience in designing electronic circuits and PCBs,
• ability to create schematics, select components, and analyze technical documentation,
• knowledge of EDA tools for electronics design,
• knowledge of basic PCB design principles regarding EMC/ESD, power and ground plane routing, and signal integrity,
• ability to commission, test, and diagnose electronic circuits using typical measuring equipment,
• knowledge of microcontroller programming in C,
• ability to analyze and systematically solve technical problems,
• knowledge of English for technical documentation and project communication,
• independence, accuracy, responsibility, and teamwork skills,
• driving license cat. B and readiness for occasional business trips.

Nice to have

• knowledge of KiCad, basic CAD software,
• experience in designing analog measurement circuits and conditioning signals from sensors,
• practical knowledge of EMC issues and preparing devices for electromagnetic compatibility tests,
• knowledge of Python or LabVIEW for test automation, device communication, or data analysis,
• experience in designing and commissioning test stands,
• experience with PLM/ERP systems and preparing production documentation and BOM,
• manual skills related to electronics, especially soldering, repairs, and modifications,
• basic knowledge of industrial automation and industrial measurement and communication systems,
• experience in implementing electronics into serial production,
• experience with communication interfaces and protocols, e.g., UART/RS-232/RS-485, SPI, I²C, USB, CAN/CANopen/J1939, or IO-Link,
• experience with Microchip, STM32, or NXP microcontrollers.
