Job description

Our client is a company operating in the automation sector, working for the defense sector, among others.


Automation Engineer (PLC and SCADA)

Gdańsk

SCOPE OF DUTIES:
  • programming of PLC controllers (Siemens, Schneider) in complex network and redundant systems
  • building and configuring SCADA systems – distributed, multi-station, with a database layer
  • programming HMI operator panels
  • designing communication architecture between controllers and the supervisory layer
  • co-creation of technical documentation regarding implemented systems
  • commissioning: FAT tests at the company's headquarters, and then commissioning at the client's site
  • participation in technical meetings with the client and proposing solutions (no sales tasks – the Project Manager is responsible for acquiring orders)

REQUIREMENTS:
  • experience in industrial automation – preferably on the side of an integrator, a manufacturer's technical department, or maintenance in a large plant
  • practical knowledge of Siemens and/or Schneider controllers – in systems larger than single, simple applications
  • experience with SCADA systems and industrial networks
  • ability to read and create technical documentation
  • technical education (automation and robotics, electrical engineering, mechatronics, or related fields)
  • independence – in projects, you will be responsible for your scope from concept to commissioning
  • readiness for occasional site visits (Tricity, Szczecin, ports) and participation in sea trials
  • readiness to undergo a vetting procedure to obtain classified information access – some projects are carried out for defense (this requirement stems from the Act on the Protection of Classified Information)
  • nice to have: knowledge of databases, EPLAN, AutoCad, Caddy Electrical tools
