Investment Associate - Public & Private Markets - Top-Tier Fund Manager

Collins Executive Recruitment is exclusively partnering with a highly regarded multi-asset fund manager based in the Sydney CBD. This fund primarily invests in listed equities, ranging from small to large-cap companies, as well as in private market and pre-IPO companies. The fund takes a long-term, flexible and conviction-led approach to building sizable positions in high-quality businesses, both public and private.

Due to continued growth, a new position has been created for an investment professional with a demonstrable passion for financial markets.

We’re seeking intellectually curious investors with strong analytical fundamentals and a long-term mindset. The opportunity would suit; investment banking or private equity professionals with a deep interest in listed markets, or equity analysts seeking a broader, unconstrained mandate beyond traditional coverage.

The Opportunity
Working closely with senior investors, you will:

• Lead bottom-up research into listed companies across a broad range of sectors
• Support due diligence, financial modelling, and valuation of public and private market opportunities
• Monitor existing portfolio positions and provide insights to optimise capital allocation
• Prepare investment memos and contribute directly to investment committee discussions
• Gain exposure to block trades, founder-led privates, and bespoke deal structuring

You’ll bring:

• 3–6 years’ experience in investment banking, equity research, corporate development or private equity.
• Strong financial modelling and valuation skills
• High-quality written and verbal communication
• A genuine passion for business, investing, and value creation
• A strong academic record
