Investment Analyst

We are looking to expand our Indian Equities team at Manulife Investment Management with the addition of an Investment Analyst based in Singapore We are looking to add a capable and driven Investment Analyst to our Indian Equities team at Manulife. This is a highly involved role suited for someone who wants to work closely with the Portfolio Managers and actively contribute to both investment analysis and product-related initiatives. Position Responsibilities: Company Analysis & Research: Conduct fundamental research and analysis on Indian companies across various sectors, including financial modeling, valuation, and financial statement analysis. Generate and communicate investment ideas and recommendations to the Portfolio Managers. Monitor existing portfolio holdings, track company developments, and update financial models. Industry & Market Analysis: Conduct industry and market research to understand sector trends, competitive dynamics, and regulatory changes in India. Stay abreast of macro-economic developments and their impact on the Indian equity market. Support Portfolio Managers in formulating investment strategies and portfolio construction. Portfolio Management Support: Assist in the preparation of portfolio reports, presentations, and other communication materials. Contribute to the implementation of investment decisions and the management of the portfolio. Assist in the maintenance of portfolio data and performance tracking. Product & Marketing Support: Collaborate with the product and marketing teams to develop and enhance product offerings. Contribute to the preparation of marketing materials and client presentations. Participate in client meetings and presentations as required. Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with the Portfolio Managers and other team members. Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, including research analysts, product specialists, and sales teams. Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including company management, industry experts, and brokers. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field; CFA or equivalent qualification is preferred. 3-5 years of relevant experience in equity research or investment analysis, with a focus on Indian equities. Strong financial modeling and valuation skills. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Solid understanding of financial statements and accounting principles. In-depth knowledge of Indian equity markets and the Indian economic landscape. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
