The typical candidate is hired below midpoint of the range. $20K Sign-on Bonus for qualified candidates Schedule is 4 - 10hour shifts per week, plus on-call. Summary: The Interventional Radiology Specialist II performs a variety of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in the special procedures and/or cardiovascular laboratory. They are responsible for assisting the physician during these procedures. They are required to maintain the required standards and competencies of a radiologic technologist. Responsibilities: * Prepare and maintain examination rooms. * Prepare and position patients for procedures. * Provide patient education and assessment. * Assist the physician during procedures, including sterile technique. * Operate radiographic equipment and perform quality control. * Perform venipuncture and administer contrast media. * Monitor patient vital signs. * Maintain records and documentation. * Adhere to all safety protocols and radiation safety guidelines. * Maintain supplies and equipment. * Participate in continuing education. Qualifications: * Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program. * Current ARRT certification. * Current California CRT certification. * Current BLS certification. * Minimum of two years experience in Interventional Radiology. * Strong knowledge of radiographic equipment and procedures. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Ability to maintain composure in stressful situations. * Ability to lift and position patients.
