Interpreter (m/w/d) for Spanish, Persian, Serbian, Georgian, and Somali

We are looking for several interpreters (m/w/d) on a mini-job basis (10 hours/week) to support the courses within the project "Wegweiserkurse für Geflüchtete". The assignments and payment will be based on an hourly rate. The project will take place at our institution in Braunschweig. The course will be offered as a first orientation program for people of different age groups living in the area. The interpreters will be used for the two-hour part of the course "Life in Germany".

You speak Spanish/Serbian/Georgian/Persian/Somali or another foreign language in addition to German; are communicative, reliable, and enjoy working with people from different nationalities? Then we have the following tasks waiting for you:

• Translation of the lecturer's speech into the native language of the refugees
• Translation during the provision of local knowledge for first orientation
• Translation of questions and answers in discussion rounds
• Closely working with the lecturer on other topics that arise
