This specialist machine builder from Deventer develops and builds innovative installations for the international packaging industry. From a modern building, a compact and technically strong team works daily on high-quality machines that are used worldwide by large producers within the food & beverage industry.

The organization is characterized by short lines, a lot of technical knowledge, and a down-to-earth work atmosphere. Because almost all machines are built customer-specifically, you as a Service Engineer get a lot of variety and responsibility. No standard production work, but complex technology where mechanics, electrical engineering, and control technology come together.

Within the service team, you get a lot of freedom to independently take on projects and provide technical support to customers worldwide.

The position
This is what you will do

As an International Service Engineer, you are responsible for the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of machines and installations at customers all over the world.

Important to know: within this role, you are almost continuously active internationally. You will travel worldwide to customers to install systems, perform maintenance, and resolve breakdowns. Most projects last an average of one week and sometimes extend to a maximum of two weeks on location.

Your tasks include:

• Installation and setup of complete machines and production lines
• Commissioning of installations at international customers
• Resolving mechanical and electrical faults
• Performing maintenance and modifications
• Testing and adjusting machines
• Instructing customers and operators on location
• Liaising with engineering and colleagues from Deventer

You work independently on location and are the primary technical point of contact for the customer during projects.

• A gross monthly salary between € 3,000.00 and € 4,500.00 depending on experience
• Net allowance of € 40.00 per overnight stay abroad
• Travel hours are fully paid

What we expect from you
Do you recognize yourself?

For this position, we are looking for a technician who gets energy from working internationally and independently takes on technical projects with customers worldwide.

You have:

• A technical education in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering
• Experience as a Service Engineer, Machine Building Mechanic, or Commissioning Engineer
• Affinity with electrical engineering and control technology
• The willingness to travel internationally and regularly be away from home for one to two weeks
• An independent and solution-oriented attitude
• Good communication skills towards customers
