Internal Data Engineer (m/f/d)

• Pipelines: You connect our source systems — CRM (Pipedrive), product databases, financial systems, third-party APIs, hotel systems (Opera, SIHOT, Delphi). Ingestion, scheduling, error handling.
• Modeling: You build the transformed layer (dbt or equivalent): cleanly versioned, tested, documented. Staging → Core → Marts.
• Metrics Layer: One definition per metric. You make the discussion “but in my Excel it says 4.2” definitively superfluous.
• Data Quality: Tests, freshness checks, alerting. You notice a pipeline is broken before the CFO does.
• Enablement: You build models so that business departments can work in the BI tool themselves. You are not a dashboard butler.
• Support for Reporting: You provide the reliable data foundation for C-level and investor reporting — Finance takes care of the interpretation.

• 3+ years as an Analytics Engineer, Data Engineer, or BI Engineer with a strong modeling component.
• SQL at an expert level. Not “I can do joins,” but window functions, incrementality, performance.
• Experience with dbt — or you can convincingly explain why you solved it differently.
• Python for ingestion and automation.
• Experience with at least one warehouse: BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift, or Postgres-based.
• Git, code review, tests, CI. Your data models are software, not a hobby workshop.
• You talk to business departments and translate “I need an evaluation” into a data model.

• You have already transferred CRM data (Pipedrive, HubSpot, Salesforce) into a warehouse — including the joy over historically grown custom fields.
• Experience with orchestration (Airflow, Dagster, Prefect).
• BI tooling: Metabase, Looker, Power BI.
• GDPR awareness for personal data — not a secondary topic for us.
