Internal Auditor

Endearvour Education is a dynamic and growing education consultancy committed to excellence in education, migration, and student support services. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Internal Auditor to join our team and help ensure the strength and compliance of our internal controls across all operational areas.

As an Internal Audit Officer, you will play a key role in evaluating and strengthening internal controls, risk management, and compliance across finance, admissions, and migration services. This position requires a proactive, analytical thinker with experience in auditing and a deep understanding of relevant regulatory frameworks, particularly in the education and migration sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and execute internal audits across finance, operations, student admissions, and migration services
• Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls and risk management systems
• Identify gaps and recommend enhancements to existing controls and procedures
• Ensure compliance with relevant standards and legislation, including:
• Australian Accounting Standards
• ATO guidelines
• ESOS Act
• MARA Code of Conduct
• Conduct reconciliations (bank, student payments, agent commissions) and investigate anomalies
• Review and recommend updates to policies governing financial, admissions, and file management processes
• Prepare detailed internal audit reports highlighting risks and actionable recommendations
• Present findings and action plans to senior management
• Collaborate with finance, compliance, admissions, and migration teams to understand and support business processes
• Provide guidance on risk identification, mitigation, and business continuity

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA, CA, or IPA preferred)
• 2–5 years of internal audit experience, ideally within the education or migration sectors
• Strong understanding of risk management principles and internal audit practices
• Experience in auditing complex, multi-functional organizations
• Familiarity with ESOS, CRICOS, and MARA regulations
• Knowledge of ATO and Australian accounting standards
• Proficient in audit and financial tools including Xero, QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel
• Exceptional analytical, communication, and reporting skills
• Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and build strong working relationships.
• Self-starter with strong attention to detail and organizational skills
