Intern to the Chief of Staff (m/f/x) @ E-Mobility Startup

Become part of Aampere, a seed-stage VC-backed startup redefining the European used e-car market. We enable EV owners to sell within 48 hours and give dealers across Europe access to new customer groups. The market is fragmented, opaque, and difficult to trust. We are building the infrastructure to solve this, so more e-cars get a second life and the transition to electric really gains momentum.

And it's working: year after year, we quadruple our revenue and already account for over 1% of used e-car resales to end customers in Germany. Our team comes from the German startup scene and the automotive world, with experience at Autarc, Limehome, Cardino, Wemolo, Alasco, Porsche, Mercedes, and KPMG.

A VIP seat to see how a startup is built and managed. You are the right hand of our Chief of Staff, Benni, who was employee number one at a YC-backed startup and worked at several top-tier VC startups before Aampere. You sit where the company is steered, work across all functions, and take on real responsibility from day one. Build the organization with us, not for us. We are responsible for the People function and are currently scaling our headcount significantly while building the structures that will support the next wave of hires. You will be in the middle of this build-out, owning actual parts of it instead of just observing from the sidelines.
Sit where the steering happens. The Chief of Staff role operates between the founders' OKRs and the owners who deliver them, challenging and enabling both sides. You will be present in these meetings, see how priorities are set and tested, and form your own judgment about what truly drives the business.
Take on special projects end-to-end. A large part of the work is zero-to-one and doesn't yet fit into a neat job description, from building the B2B offering to our PR and comms structures. The list is constantly changing, and you will bring topics from idea to implementation.
Work at startup speed. Much happens ad hoc, decisions are made quickly, and we expect a get-things-done mentality. You will bring structure, fill the gaps, and not wait to be told what to do.

You are a generalist and think in terms of ownership. You see the gap and you close it. You bring order to messy problems without being asked, and you are at your strongest when the path is not yet clear.
You have already delivered at a top level. Fresh from a top university, with a track record at a leading consultancy or a top-tier startup. You work above your level, and you can prove it.
You speak fluent German and English. You switch effortlessly between German-speaking partner and candidate communication and an English-speaking team.
You want a career, not a summer job. This is a six-month full-time internship, and if you excel, we want to keep you. Come in with the idea of where this could lead, not where it ends.

...you want to work predominantly remotely. We believe the best ideas arise when people are in the same room. That's why you'll be in our office at least four days a week.
...you want to find ready-made processes and structures. We don't have many of those yet. We are looking for people who build structures and processes themselves, rather than managing them.
...you need a finished plan before you start. Seed stage means: much is unclear and changes weekly. You need to be comfortable making decisions in uncertainty and correcting course along the way.
...you want to stay in your lane. We don't know "that's not my job." You jump in where the fire is, even if it's outside your role description.
...you want a classic 9-to-5 job. We are building something big, and that can't be done on the side. Those who are here want to give their all, not just clock in and out.
