Intern - Strategic Procurement & Category Management (m/w/d)

We are looking for a motivated Intern (m/w/d) in Procurement Category Management, who will support our team and gain comprehensive insights into strategic procurement processes and our international business environment.

Organisational: Full-time internship (40 hours per week) for 6 months with the option to extend, working location Munich (hybrid model, 3 days per week in the office).

About the role

• Knowledge of strategic procurement activities and insights into the entire end-to-end procurement process
• Support for tendering and inquiry processes, as well as maintenance of supplier and contract data
• Creation of market analyses, review and comparison of offers, and participation in supplier negotiations
• Creation of reports and analyses on supplier contracts and expenses (Spend)
• Participation in the optimization and further development of procurement and supplier management solutions
• Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders and category managers to increase cost efficiency
  

About you

• Enrolled student or graduate of business administration, business economics, or a comparable field
• Ideal candidate with first experience in indirect procurement, supplier management / supplier development, or in a dynamic corporate environment
• Very good English skills, good German skills
• Very good MS-Office skills, especially in Excel
• Analytical thinking, communicative strength, attention to detail, and proactive working style
• Teamwork, reliability, and enthusiasm for procurement
