Intern - Marketing

We are an emerging payment service provider building the next generation of financial infrastructure for businesses – with a focus on cross-border B2B payments for German SMEs in currency corridors that are often inadequately or too expensively covered by traditional banks, in order to make them faster, safer, and more efficient.

Our team brings experience from corporate banking (including PIMCO, Citi, Commerzbank) and international fintech. We are an early-stage, founder-led company that is growing rapidly. You will be part of a small, experienced team that lives ownership, execution, and high standards.

Responsibilities

Content Production (Instagram & LinkedIn)

• Maintenance of the content calendar in the social planner for Instagram and LinkedIn
• Writing posts according to the defined formats: Calculation examples from the savings calculator, explanations on the basics of international payments, Made-in-Hamburg storytelling, corridor content
• Production of visual assets with existing tools
• Support with Reels/short explainer videos (myths surrounding international payments, product insights)

Research & Content Fundamentals

• Research support for the planned benchmark report
• Ongoing competitor monitoring
• Support with SEO/blog articles in the HansePay backend (including AI-powered blog post creation)

Funnel & CRM

• Maintenance of leads in the CRM, tracking of booking status
• Support in the Email Manager (templates, simple campaigns)
• Compilation of simple reports: usage of the savings calculator, booked appointments per channel, performance of LinkedIn/Instagram posts

Events & Partnerships (Support)

• Organizational support for webinars/events (e.g., with the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce, IGCC)
• Preparation of documents/content for cooperation discussions

General Marketing Assistance

• Support with content approval coordination
• Ad-hoc research and support for the growth team

Qualifications

Education/Studies
Enrolled student (or equivalent) in Marketing, Communication, Business Administration, Media Studies, or Economics – not a must, but a good framework for the topics.

Language
German at a native or very fluent level is important, as our communication is deliberately German-first. Good English for the bilingual website (DE/EN) and international corridor topics.

Practical Skills

• Confident use of Instagram and LinkedIn, ideally first experience in creating content (copy, simple graphics/Reels) – private experience counts here just as much as an internship
• Affinity for digital tools in general (Canva, CRM systems, AI-powered tools) – a lot of things happen in our backend and with AI support, those who can quickly get to grips with it have an advantage
• Good language sense/writing skills, as a large part of the work is writing

Personality/Work Style

• Independent work, as we are a small team and cannot specify everything in detail
• Interest in Fintech/Payment Processing/B2B topics – no prior knowledge required, but curiosity should be there
• Structured enough to manage a content calendar independently and meet deadlines

Nice-to-have, not a disqualifier

• First exposure to SEO/GEO/Blog Content
• Interest in international trade/foreign trade
• Own experience with international transfers/transactions – not a must, but a real bonus for authentic content
