About the role
You’ll work end-to-end on civil design and delivery for subdivisions and infrastructure projects across Invercargill and wider Southland. Expect a mix of engineering design, consenting, contract documentation, and on-site involvement.

Key responsibilities

• Civil design for land development projects — earthworks, roading, stormwater, water supply, wastewater, and utilities
• Preparing drawings, reports, and consent documentation
• Supporting project management, contract preparation, and tender evaluations
• Liaising with councils, contractors, and clients
• Undertaking site visits and monitoring to support project delivery

What you will need

• 3–6 years’ civil engineering experience, ideally in land development
• Solid design skills in Civil 3D or similar
• An understanding of NZ standards, consenting, and three-waters infrastructure
• Good communication skills and a willingness to work closely with surveyors, planners, and PMs
• A proactive mindset and an interest in growing into a senior role
• Current and valid NZ working rights
