Salary: £50,000 - £65,000 per year (depending on experience)

We are seeking an experienced Interior Fit Out Estimator to join a well-established contractor based in Romford, Essex. Due to continued growth, this is an excellent opportunity for a driven and detail-oriented estimator to play a key role within our expanding commercial team.

The successful candidate will manage the full estimating process - from initial enquiry to tender preparation and submission. You should come from either a fit out or refurbishment background, with experience in painting and decorating packages being essential. Familiarity with large-scale commercial or residential projects will be highly advantageous.

• Conduct site visits as required to assess project scope and requirements.

• Review and analyse project plans, drawings, and specifications.

• Extract and interpret information from tender documents to produce accurate cost estimates for materials, labour, and plant, in line with programme and procurement schedules.

• Carry out measurements using specialist software (e.g. On-Screen Takeoff (OST)).

• Prepare Bills of Quantities and detailed cost breakdowns.

• Source and evaluate quotes from subcontractors and suppliers.

• Prepare and present tenders for adjudication with senior management.

• Manage post-tender queries and assist with value engineering proposals.

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in construction estimating.

• Background in fit out or refurbishment projects (experience in painting and decorating packages is a must).

• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and measurement software (such as OST).

• Excellent analytical and numerical skills, with strong attention to detail.

• Confident communicator and team player with the ability to meet deadlines.
