Interim (Senior) FP&A Manager (m/f/d) – Freelance Project

Xentral is a leading ERP provider for the DACH market. To bridge a temporary vacancy in our Finance team, we are offering a time-limited FP&A project to a self-employed contractor.

Key Facts

• Project Duration: Mid-July 2026 to April 30, 2027 (approx. 9.5 months)
• Workload: approx. 3 - 5 days per week
• Service Delivery: remote, flexible working hours; coordination meetings by appointment (virtual)
• Contract Type: Service contract, billing on a daily rate basis against invoice
• Requirement: Residence and tax domicile in Germany, own work equipment
• Daily Rate: up to 650 Euros

Project Context

The goal of the project is to ensure ongoing FP&A processes: reliable management reporting, precise tracking of growth metrics, and a clean budget and forecast cycle. You will coordinate directly with the CEO and the Finance team and deliver independently.

Scope of Services

• Monthly Management Reporting: Preparation of consolidated management P&L, cash flow statements, and topline performance updates
• Budget and Forecast: Execution of the annual budget process (focus September to December) as well as monthly forecast cycles
• Data Quality: regular reconciliation between backend systems and Looker, analysis and clarification of discrepancies to secure management reporting
• SaaS KPI Reporting: Preparation and analysis of central subscription metrics (ARR development, churn, net dollar retention) and correct representation of the SaaS business model in all reports
• Ad-hoc Analyses: data-based evaluations and decision papers for management and departments

Requirements

• Several years of FP&A experience in a SaaS or subscription environment, confident handling of B2B SaaS metrics (ARR, churn, net dollar retention)
• Demonstrable project experience with BI tools (ideally Looker) and SQL, very confident use of Excel
• Solid background in accounting or financial management (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)
• Independent, structured working method: You quickly familiarize yourself with existing systems and datasets without guidance
• Fluent English in spoken and written form for coordination with management and stakeholders
• Plus, not a must: practical experience with LucaNet
