About the role

As a junior privacy lawyer, you will contribute to the protection of personal data within an organization focused on national security and crisis management. You will work in a dynamic environment where you will handle operational privacy issues and collaborate with experienced professionals. This role offers you the opportunity to deepen your legal knowledge and gain practical experience in a socially relevant sector.

What you will do:

• Assist: in processing and advising on simple GDPR requests.
• Draft: draft decisions on GDPR requests and other legal documents.
• Support: in answering privacy and compliance questions.
• Participate: in DPIAs and other privacy-related analyses.
• Contribute: to privacy compliance, including processor agreements, data breaches, and governance.

About the company

From Utrecht, you will work through USG Legal for a well-known organization in the public sector.

You will join a dedicated, small team where you will have a permanent contact person, can regularly brainstorm with colleagues, and utilize training, education, and webinars to gradually build your knowledge of privacy law and compliance.

Requirements

• Completed HBO degree in Dutch Law.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience with privacy issues and GDPR.
• Experience in drafting legal texts and advice.
• Knowledge of data protection law and relevant legislation.
• Certification in privacy (CIPP/E and/or CIPM) is a plus.
