Interim Head of Purchasing / Senior Procurement Manager (m/f/d)

For current and future mandates with medium-sized companies, we are strategically expanding our enomyc Interim Network and are looking for experienced Heads of Purchasing and Senior Procurement Managers who not only develop concepts but also actively manage procurement operations, negotiate, and achieve measurable results.

As an interim manager, you will take on responsibility directly at the client's site and work – depending on the project – closely with our partners and consulting teams.

Your Potential Mandates

• Operational responsibility for purchasing and procurement in transformation, performance, and special situations

• Analysis of spend, commodity groups, supplier structures, and procurement costs

• Identification and realization of concrete savings and performance improvement potentials

• Preparation and execution of demanding supplier and conditions negotiations

• Development and implementation of commodity group and procurement strategies

• Optimization of payment terms, inventory, and other working capital levers

• Stabilization of critical supplier relationships and ensuring supply

• Optimization of purchasing organization, processes, and responsibilities

• Building transparency on prices, volumes, conditions, and savings measures

• Consistent tracking and follow-up of agreed-upon measures

• Close collaboration with operations, finance, supply chain, and management

What You Bring

• Several years of operational experience as a Head of Purchasing, Head of Procurement, Senior Procurement Manager, or in comparable responsible positions

• In-depth experience in the German medium-sized business sector

• Demonstrable successes in savings programs, supplier negotiations, and procurement optimizations

• Strong understanding of cost structures, working capital, and performance levers in procurement

• Experience in transformation, performance, or restructuring situations is an advantage

• High analytical competence combined with a strong hands-on mentality

• Experience in manufacturing or industrial companies is an advantage

• Proficient use of relevant ERP, purchasing, and analysis tools

• Willingness for a substantial on-site presence at the client's location

• Native-level German and good English skills

• Project-based availability as a freelance interim manager
